I often wonder whether I should post slightly new material on an old topic. From a blog standpoint, it makes little sense to cover the same topic again and again, but sometimes its helpful to present material of slightly different perspectives or greater depth. Additionally, the ubiquity of incorrect information has become so great largely because it is rehashed so many times. Case in point, exercise-induced muscle cramps needs to be repeated in many ways to break people of the notion that dehydration and salt are causal factors. This is not supported by the evidence. So in this vain, I ran across this post this morning and thought I’d post it. It is thorough and presents some newer research on cramping. Enjoy!
